Our People and Culture Team works closely with our regional and local teams to ensure that our people are engaged, well supported, professionally developed and committed to the children, young people, families and carers they work with; working in a way that supports our collaborative, supportive and learning culture.

Our broader People and Culture team comprises of HR Business Partnering, Learning and Development, Work Health and Safety, Talent Management and HR Support.  

About the Role

The People and Culture Team work in close partnership with our Regional Leadership teams and their staff. This position plays a pivotal role in providing initial, high level customer support to new and existing staff across the organisation. Whether that is writing employment letters and various HR memos or referring to policy, procedure or EBA to respond to enquiries, you will embody our values in all you do.

The position works alongside another full time HR Officer and reports to the HR Coordinator.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a genuine difference in a well regarded Community Services organisation by providing high level support to our dedicated staff so they in turn can support the provision of high quality services to children and young people in our care.

About You

You have previous experience in a position where excellent attention to detail and quality written work is at the fore. You will bring your strong organisational and administrative skills to this multi-faceted role and will enjoy variety in all you do.

You will role model and demonstrate Berry Street’s values in your work ethic, complimenting a positive, can-do attitude.

A minimum degree qualification (or working towards a qualification) with at least 12 months experience in an administrative role is essential.
