About the role:
- This position is 60.8 or 45.6 hours per fortnight
- The applicant will be responsible for the assessment and training of prospective carers
- Conduct initial screening of suitable applicants for the role of caregiver
- Facilitate information sessions for prospective carers
- Provide relevant information and referral to all prospective enquiries
- Conduct annual reviews on accredited carers in accordance with program requirements
Remuneration:
- The full time equivalent remuneration for this position is SCHCADS Level 5, PP1 $74,534.72 gross per annum, under the Berry Street Victoria 2014-2017 Agreement
- The value of the salary can be increased through salary packaging
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in education, welfare, community development or social work
- Desired knowledge on the welfare system – preferably the home-based care area
- Well-developed assessment skills
- Well-developed knowledge of the stages of child development
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written & good organisational skills
