About the role:

The Executive Director, Corporate Services plays a key leadership role in the Organisation’s Executive Leadership Team and will work closely with other Executive Directors and Regional Management teams to provide high quality, customer focussed support which will enable Berry Street to fulfil its new Vision and Strategic Goals, directly impacting the work we do with our clients and the network that supports them.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will also provide exceptional support to our esteemed Board of Directors by undertaking responsibility as Berry Street’s Company Secretary.

The Executive Director is also responsible for:

  • Oversight and management of the organisation’s financial and legal obligations, including accountability and compliance
  • Leadership and Development of efficient Information and Records management systems, leading a new ICT Strategy
  • Continuous Quality improvement and cost efficiency strategies
  • Development and implementation of new Vendor Management policies, processes and systems for efficient and cost-effective procurement
  • Oversight of Facilities and Property Services to ensure that all properties used by Berry Street meet OH&S, legislative, funder standards and building requirements
  • Ensuring that all properties have an annual Maintenance Plan and maintenance issues are dealt with efficiently and effectively across a high volume of sites in Victoria

About you:

Ideally, your background will include extensive leadership experience of a large and complex organisation where you have had significant experience (minimum 5 years +) as a Chief Financial Officer or equivalent, managing a budget of at least $75M.

You will have proven leadership skills to contribute to organisation wide change and transformation to ensure Berry Street continues to grow from strength to strength. You will be a natural collaborator, someone who inspires high standards of work and will role model our values in all you do. Your knowledge of relevant industry standards, compliance, legislation and good corporate governance is second to none, ideally within a NFP setting.

You will have highly developed analytical and strategic skills and a demonstrated capacity to initiate, plan, implement and review new systems and processes.

Significant experience in managing physical infrastructure assets, including property, motor vehicles and procurement is essential.

This role requires a tertiary qualification in a quality Finance & Accounting, Business Management or equivalent discipline along with a valid WWCC and current driver’s licence at all times.
