The Opportunity

Our Innovations team at Berry Street works to support us in integrating evidence-informed practices sourced from within Australia and internationally.  It leads our research into best practice service responses and supports our exploration to their viability within our organisation.  We are currently seeking a dynamic Project Manager – Foster and Kinship Care to oversee the implementation of the Home-Based Care Practice Framework (incorporating the Secure Base Model of Care) across our Foster and Kinship care programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the implementation of the Home-Based Care Practice Framework, incorporating the Secure Base Model of Care, across Berry Street foster and Kinship care regional programs.
  • Manage multiple strategic projects related to foster and kinship care across Berry Street
  • Interact with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously

This position is a fixed term Maternity Leave position until June 2020 and can be offered full time or part time with flexible hours.

About You

  • A Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, community services or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years’ of direct practice experience in working with children, young people, families and carers with a sound understanding of foster & kinship care policy, practice and research
  • A solid understanding of Government policy and legislation that relates to children, young people and families involved with the Child Protection & Care system
  • Well-developed experience in organising, delivering and facilitating high quality training and related professional development functions Specific experience of undertaking project work and project management
