About the role:

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Head of Analytics & Insights is a newly created position that will lead data analysis and insights for the organisation.                                                                             

The position is responsible for strategically managing Berry Street’s supporter database and undertaking complex data analysis to generate insight from internal and external datasets to inform strategic and tactical decisions.

The Head of Analytics & Insights will work closely and collaboratively with Other Heads of Functions within the Strategic Engagement team to address business questions that will lead to better use of resources, improved supporter engagement and maximise return on marketing investment.

The position responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and disseminating performance dashboards and reports
  • Data preparation, analysis, modelling
  • Development, implementation and maintenance of decision-support tools
  • Data architecture and integrity governance
  • Input into standards and methods
  • Collaboratively drive the implementation of software, tools and technologies for data storage and analysis

About you:

  • Your experience may come from a variety of contexts where there is high volume of communication with large numbers of members, customers or stakeholders. This position will suit your collaborative, customer focused and adaptable approach, and see you using your exceptional analysis, problem solving and communication skills in a position that has highly visible impact.
  • Problem-solving business questions to maximise outcomes, assessing stakeholder requirements and building business intelligence reports
  • Developing hypothesis testing, correlation and factor analysis
  • Analysing and interpreting data queries from large databases
  • Developing and building models and decision-support tools
  • Preparing and presenting reports and recommendations to change behaviour or inform decision making
  • Developing reports and performing analysis to address business questions

Experience in a not-for-profit or community organisation would be highly desirable

This role requires a relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics or equivalent. Use of SQL for data extractions and manipulations is essential. Experience with Raiser’s Edge would be highly desirable.

Staff must hold a valid WWCC and current driver’s license at all times and undergo a Criminal Records Check prior to employment. Subsequently, staff must report any criminal charges or court appearances.
