About the role:

The Head of Marketing will develop, lead and implement an audience-informed marketing strategy to help Berry Street achieve its goals around awareness, engagement and income generation.

In order to achieve the goals in our Strategic Plan 2019-2022, this role will drive further brand awareness and engagement through developing new offers and transforming the way we attract and engage with supporters, with a particular focus on digital innovation.

Leading a professional and productive team of six, the Head of Marketing will work closely and collaboratively with many internal stakeholders to enable the achievement of our ambitious goals around fundraising, business development, foster care recruitment and public policy and advocacy.

About you:

The successful applicant will be an inspiring leader with a highly collaborative approach and a deep understanding of digital, brand and content. You will have the ability to create and communicate a clear and compelling vision that will increase Berry Street’s brand awareness and enhance our engagement with key target audiences.

You will also bring:

  • High level project management skills and proven success delivering campaigns from beginning to end
  • Proven experience in a comparable Senior Leadership position, ideally within a large and complex organisation
  • Demonstrated experience delivering successful revenue generating activities
  • Experience in managing and leading teams, providing support and guidance;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully across a wide range of people;
  • Excellent time management and the ability to manage a high workload, deadlines and many competing tasks.

Experience in a not-for-profit or community organisation would be highly desirable

This role requires a relevant qualification in Marketing or Business. Staff must hold a valid WWCC and current driver’s license at all times and undergo a Criminal Records Check prior to employment. Subsequently, staff must report any criminal charges or court appearances.
