ABOUT US

  • Berry Street is Victoria’s largest independent child welfare organisation that never gives up doing whatever it takes for kids. We believe everyone should have a good childhood, growing up in families and communities where they feel safe, nurtured and have hope for the future.
  • Berry Street’s Residential Services offers accommodation and support to children and young people who are referred through the Child Protection system. The program responds to the complex impacts of abuse, neglect and separation from family. This is achieved through the creation of positive, safe, healing relationships and experiences informed by a sound understanding of trauma, damaged attachment and development needs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Permanent, full time position based in our Morwell office
  • This position is responsible for providing support and direction to the day to day operations of Residential Units within the Gippsland region.
  • You will be a leader advocating for young people in Residential Care and mentoring other staff within the program to care therapeutically for those who have experienced the impacts of trauma and neglect

REMUNERATION

  • The base salary for this position is SCHADS Level 7, Pay Point 1 which is currently $84,976.40 under the Berry Street Victoria 2014-2017 Agreement.
  • The value of the salary can be increased through salary packaging.
