Open Place, a program of Berry Street,  is a service for a group of people who experienced out of home ‘care’ as children prior to 1989. These people are now known as ‘Forgotten Australians’.

This service co-ordinates and provides direct assistance to address the needs of Forgotten Australians and helps people deal with the legacy of their childhood experiences by providing support to improve their health and well being.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Full time, permanent position based in Richmond
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Forgotten Australians with accessing personal information, reconnecting with family members and ultimately helping develop a greater sense of belonging and identity.

REMUNERATION

  • The base salary for this position is SCHCADS Level 5, Pay Point 1 which is currently $72,296.41 under the Berry Street Victoria 2014-2017 Agreement.
  • The value of the salary can be increased through salary packaging.
