PROGRAM CO-ORDINATOR 

  • Are you passionate about assisting community coalitions that implement evidence-based strategies to prevent health and social problems for children and young people?
  • Looking for a role that allows you to coordinate activities for at-risk and vulnerable children in the Baw Baw Shire?
  • Interested in being a part of the Communities That Care program in a part-time position?
  • If you have tertiary qualifications in health promotion, public health, teaching, adult learning, social work or a related discipline we’re interested in hearing from you.
  • It is desirable that the applicant has strong links within the Gippsland community in respect to health, welfare and primary prevention.
  • Based at Morwell – 38 hours per fortnight.

About the role

  • This part time position is based in Gippsland and is focused on engaging young people through strategies that prevent health and social programs in the community.
  • The applicant will be responsible for coordinating activities for the Communities That Care project across the shire and will also work closely with key community members, staff from the program and the Berry Street Gippsland team.
  • The role is a fixed term part time position until June 2020
  • Key accountabilities including working with the Communities that Care and Berry Street teams to create community stakeholder in the CTC process, offering leading community projects focused on health promotion and welfare for children and young people in the community, program development, administration and supporting the goals of the Communities That Care program.
